October 29, 2016 I used the WSUS, 3rd party program (that the article referred to) and it All went well, and the new improved Windows Update took about a minute and a half to find 5 missing patches.Initially however, the just-installed Windows Update failed on this machine with Perhaps it is calculating the time incorrectly because of that. Downside of course is the clock being wrong.
It still thinks I'm in Adelaide instead of Sydney when I let it set the time zone automatically, but that's not worth worrying about.
