My SSD didn't have too much space left, so I created an installation USB and ran the installer from there, that solved the issue for me. Installed with the option to only keep my data. If problem solved then you can easily find the area which was raising the problem.Safe Mode: Start your PC in safe mode to analyze problem. There's 110GB of free space on Win partition, but my pen drive has only 4 GB and ISO ocupies 3.2GB.
I removed it and luckily back to normal. It asked to restart to do the install then after 26 Percent of the install it Errored out with Error Code 0xC1900101 - 0x2000C... Any possible help is much appreciated, and again, thank you for the information you've gathered yourself already. Where do we go from here.

finally figoured out the problem.( I use the usb drive and upgrade from win 7 by clicking the setup.exe) had this 0xc1900101-0x2000c message every time after roll back to win 7 Got help? So I think this proves it is some sort of software issue that the upgrade cannot resolve itself, like a dodgy driver or file corruption. Code Johnny Code, Code!
