i am trying to install linux to the empty partition and when i boot the installation cd and run "fdisk /dev/hda" it tries to format the optical disk drive. You'll then create your Linux partition(s) after the FAT partition, so Windows will still be able to read and write the FAT partition. Having a problem logging in?
